Job description
Sales Trainee – Beer (Field Sales), Delhi
Company: Chaar Craft Brewing Pvt Ltd.
Location: New Delhi, India (on-site / field)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Sales Manager / Territory Sales Executive [confirm]
About us
Chaar Craft Brewing Pvt Ltd. is a part of the Pacific Spirits group. The group has been part of India's beverage story since 1994 — from pioneering canned beer to brewing some of the country's best-known names. We're now building the next chapter with two beers people are excited about: Stroh's Detroit Strong, the iconic American brand in 500 ml cans, and CHAAR, our homegrown craft label. We're hiring a Sales Trainee to help us put both brands in the hands of Delhi's drinkers — and grow into a full sales career with us along the way.
The role
This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity to learn beer field sales from the ground up. You'll spend your days in the market — walking liquor stores, bars, restaurants, and hotels alongside senior team members — learning the trade, building your first relationships, and helping grow Stroh's Detroit Strong and CHAAR across the city. It's for someone who's excited to get into a real business early, and who's ready to earn their way onto their own territory.
What you'll do
- Support the team in driving primary & secondary sales of Stroh's Detroit Strong (500 ml cans) and CHAAR across Delhi's off-trade and on-trade outlets
- Ride along on outlet visits — liquor vends, wholesalers, bars, restaurants, and hotels — and learn how the trade actually works
- Build day-to-day relationships with retailers, bartenders, F&B staff, and distributor teams
- Help secure visibility at every outlet — chiller placement, shelf displays, menu inclusion, and POS/merchandising
- Support execution of trade schemes, samplings, tastings, and on-premise activations
- Track distributor stock, outlet orders, and daily sales; escalate out-of-stocks early
- Learn Delhi's excise regulations and alcobev trade practices
- Report daily and weekly on sales, market activity, and competitor moves
- Bring ideas to the table — we listen to the good ones
What you'll bring
- Recent graduate — any discipline (Commerce, Business, Marketing, or Hotel Management a plus)
- 0–1 year of experience — freshers welcome; internships in sales, FMCG, retail, or hospitality are a bonus
- Genuine interest in the beverage / alcobev industry and Delhi's bar and retail scene
- Strong communication and people skills; comfortable walking into a new store and starting a conversation
- Curiosity, hunger to learn, and a bias for action
- Comfortable being in the field daily, with willingness to travel across Delhi and work occasional evenings
- Basic Excel / Google Sheets; two-wheeler and driving license a plus
Bonus points
- Internships or part-time roles in FMCG, retail, hospitality, or events
- Genuine passion for beer, craft beer, or spirits
- Familiarity with Delhi's neighbourhoods, bar scene, and retail landscape
- Comfort in Hindi and English
What we'll teach you
- Structured on-the-job training with our senior sales team
- Rotational exposure to off-trade (retail) and on-trade (HoReCa) channels
- Distributor management, activations, and sales reporting
- A clear pathway to a Territory Sales Executive role once you hit your milestones
What success looks like in year one
- You know the Delhi beer trade — outlets, distributors, key F&B accounts
- You've built genuine relationships with retailers and bartenders across your area
- You've hit your training milestones and contributed to territory growth
- You're ready to take on your own territory as a TSE
