RF Hardware Testing and Support Engineer ()
Job Description
Industry Type: Defense and Aerospace
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Bengaluru
Work Experience: 2 - 6 years
Offered CTC: 3 - 10 LPA
About Skynetics
Skynetics is developing advanced aerospace and defense technologies including satellite systems, high-reliability communication payloads, RF systems, and autonomous platforms. We work on ruggedized hardware designed for demanding environments including launch, near-space, aerospace, and defense deployments.
We are building next-generation RF, drone, and electronic warfare systems, such as signal generators, jammers, direction finding, SIGINT, RF modules and antennas for satellite systems, and were looking for engineers who want to work on real hardware, not just simulations.
If you enjoy breaking systems, debugging at signal level, and working with RF + embedded hardware, this role is for you.
Immediate joiners preferred. Previous experience with RF testing is mandatory
What Youll Work On
- Real-world embedded systems, RF subsystems, and drone communication platforms
- RF antennas and RF modules for satellites
- Signal-level debugging using advanced lab equipment
- Exposure to Electronic Warfare (EW) and systems
- Field-relevant systems — not just lab prototypes
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing of RF hardware
- Debug issues at board, signal levels
- Work with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and RF test setups
- Support PCB bring-up, validation, and performance tuning
- Validate wireless links and drone communication systems
- Assist in RF testing, antenna validation, and impedance matching checks
- Provide technical support and issue resolution for deployed systems
Core Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in electronics and embedded systems
- Hands-on experience in hardware/firmware testing and debugging
- Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and test plans
- Experience with lab instruments (DSO, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
- Exposure to wireless communication systems
- Solid problem-solving and debugging mindset
High-Value / Differentiating Skills
- Experience with RF test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, VNA)
- Understanding of antennas and impedance matching
- Exposure to Electronic Warfare concepts:
- Direction finding
- Drone Detection
- Jamming/Anti-Jamming techniques
- ELINT / SIGINT basics
- Drone/UAV communication systems
- Anti-Drone RF systems
- Familiarity with firmware debugging tools (JTAG/SWD)
- Exposure to satellite communication systems (added advantage) because we also build satellite systems
Why This Role Stands Out
- Work on RF + Embedded + EW systems (rare combination)
- Hands-on engineering — not documentation-heavy roles
- Direct exposure to drone and counter-drone technologies
- Learn real RF debugging and signal analysis
- Quick learning curve in a high-growth defense-tech domain
