The Restaurant Steward (Service) will also earn service charge + tips is responsible for supporting the restaurant service team to ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience for guests. This includes setting up dining areas, assisting waitstaff, maintaining cleanliness in service zones, and replenishing service items like cutlery, glassware, and table linens.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas before and after service.
Polish and restock silverware, glassware, china, and linen for service.
Support waitstaff in delivering water, bread, condiments, and other table setups.
Maintain cleanliness and order in service stations and guest dining areas.
Clear used dishes and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
Ensure that service areas are always stocked and organized.
Assist with buffet setups or banquet arrangements when required.
Handle guest inquiries politely and direct them to appropriate staff if needed.
Follow hygiene and safety standards in all tasks.
Qualifications Requirements:
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel service environment preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A team player with a guest-first attitude.
Physically fit and able to stand/walk for long periods.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Basic knowledge of table settings and restaurant service protocols is an advantage.
