Job Summary
As a Legal Officer, you will assist the Response Unit in ensuring the South Australian Government meets its requirements in responding to formal and informal requests from the Commonwealth Scheme Operator.
You will also provide advice to the Attorney-General and Chief Executive on legal policy and law reform relevant to the National Redress Scheme under the supervision of the Manager of the Response Unit.
Liaising with State government agencies and the Commonwealth Department of Social Services is also a key aspect of this role, ensuring timely, accurate and agreed responses and interactions with the National Redress Scheme.
About the Business
The Attorney-General's Department supports the State Redress Response Unit (SRRU), which coordinates the participation of the South Australian Government in the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse (the National Redress Scheme).
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
This role requires a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Some out-of-hours work may be required, as well as interstate and intrastate travel.
