Second Generation, small family business, electrical contractor and long-standing Generac Home Standby Generator Dealer is looking to hire an experienced electrician who is interested in becoming part of a skilled team of electricians. We focus primarily on residential service calls and remodeling, Generac Generator installation, and EV Charger installations. We do very little new construction work and focus primarily on Service Call work. We don’t want to be a stop on your path, we want to be your final destination.

Electrical Skills Required:

· A minimum of 5 years full-time electrical experience required. Be familiar with NEC and local codes.

· Able and willing to work in a live Meter Socket, live Service Wires, installing Panels and Sub Panels, changing out Meter Sockets.

· Troubleshooting electrical issues in homes of all ages.

· Remodeling-in Electric Boxes, Fan Boxes, Disc Lights,

· Pulling Wire, Tracing out Circuits, Bending Conduit (1/2”, ¾”, and 1”)

· Changing Fixtures and Outlets.

· Installing Ground Rods, Ground to the Water Meter.

· Installing Doorbells and Ring Cameras

· Installing Low Voltage Undercabinet Lighting and Landscape Lighting.

Personal/Life Skills Required:

· Positive, can-do attitude.

· Willingness to pitch in other capacities as needed to help the business operate smoothly (I.e. accept deliveries, put materials away, clean out the truck, clean the shop, take out garbage, gas up the truck, put up Christmas decorations, etc.)

· Works well with others and willing to be a team player.

· Can communicate with customers in a professional manner.

· Has confidence to talk to difficult customers about difficult situations.

· Ability to take direction and guidance from the business owners and other team members by being flexible.

· Can handle conflicts with grace and problem-solve to find the best course of action.

· Ability to work in all types of weather – cold, hot, humid, tepid, rain, snow, mist, fog. We do not require outside work when it is below 20 degrees.

· Valid drivers license and clear record to drive company trucks.

· Willing to train and teach newer employees workplace practices and new skills. Ability to separate personal life from work life.

Mechanical/Labor Skills Required:

· Own basic hand tools

· Work in an attic.

· Work in a crawl space

· Dig a trench.

· Do hard things, even when you are tired and having a bad day.

Work hours Required:

· Monday -Friday 7 am – 3-6 pm (when the job is complete).

· Rotating PAID on call for weekends, likely once every 6 – 8 weeks.

· Depending on skill level ($29-$39/hr)
