Internship Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Python Django Developer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working on backend development using Python, Django, and associated technologies to support our data annotation platform. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to develop industry-relevant skills in a fast-paced, real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications using Python (Django framework).
• Develop, test, and maintain APIs to integrate various platform components, ensuring seamless data annotation workflows.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to implement new features and optimize existing functionalities.
• Work with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) for storing, managing, and retrieving large datasets.
• Ensure robust security and data protection measures in web applications.
• Conduct unit tests and participate in software debugging and troubleshooting to meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to enhance deployment processes (CI/CD pipelines).
• Write clear, maintainable code following best practices, including documentation and version control (Git).
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and frameworks to enhance the platform’s functionality.
• Contribute to technical documentation for new features and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings, providing feedback and insights.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Languages: Proficiency in Python, Django, with working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Web Development: Familiarity with modern web frameworks (React, Angular) and RESTful APIs.
• Database Management: Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and basic knowledge of non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Version Control: Proficient in Git for version control and collaborative software development.
• Testing & Debugging: Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools; familiarity with Jira platform.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic DevOps concepts (CI/CD pipelines, Docker).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle challenges with innovative solutions.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
