About the Role
The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is seeking an organised and detail-focused administrative professional to join the Patient Services & Access team as PS&A Support – Specialist Clinics.
This is an ongoing part-time position working five days per fortnight: two days in Week 1 and three days in Week 2.
This back-of-house role supports safe, accurate and efficient referral, appointment and patient communication processes. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help maintain the integrity of patient information and contribute to the smooth operation of Specialist Clinics.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing and maintaining referral, waitlist and appointment information accurately and within required timeframes
Recording patient and referrer communications so they are complete, traceable and compliant
Supporting appointment integrity, patient flow and administrative workflows
Using hospital systems such as PiMS, IPFX, Flow and secure messaging platforms
Identifying and escalating operational, safety or clinical risks appropriately
Working collaboratively with internal teams to improve processes and service delivery
Maintaining confidentiality and complying with relevant policies, procedures and legislation
About you

A demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement
Previous experience in a hospital, medical clinic, healthcare administration, retail or hospitality environment is desirable.
Knowledge of the Victorian public hospital system and experience using PiMS or Cerner will be highly regarded.
