Property and Equipment Senior Manager
Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance & Operations:
- Oversee the maintenance of facilities (landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, etc.) and equipment (vehicles, trucks, trailers, mowers, tractors, and small engines).
- Coordinate regular inspections, repairs, and upgrades for both facilities and equipment.
- Handle issues with facilities and equipment directly.
- Monitor budgets, approve invoices, and ensure cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations for all facilities.
- Conduct safety inspections and take corrective action when necessary.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans.
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors and service providers.
- Supervise contracted services to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Ensure proper security measures (surveillance, alarms, access control) are in place.
- Foster positive relationships with employees, tenants, and building occupants.
-Responsible for meeting with tenants on a regular basis and collecting rent.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, service requests, and inspections.
- Handle hiring and firing decisions as needed.
- Manage the purchase and sale of equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities and equipment management or a similar role.
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills for efficient project management.
- Knowledge of building systems (landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and facility management software.
-Knowledge of basic electric, plumbing, roof, siding, and carpentry work (Walls, floors, decks, siding, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with contractors, employees, and management.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to resolve issues efficiently.
Working Conditions:
- Work split between office, warehouse, residential dwellings, and field locations indoors and outdoors under varying conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
- On-site supervision, with exposure to noise, dust, horses, dogs, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift more than fifty pounds.
- Ability to identify hazardous situations and respond appropriately.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $62,000.00 per year
