Job Description
The Promotions Coordinator plays a key role in executing dynamic and engaging marketing promotions that drive guest excitement and enhance the overall entertainment experience at The Casino @ Dania Beach. Reporting to the Marketing and Promotions Manager, this position supports the creative development, organization, and implementation of promotional programs, giveaways, and events designed to increase guest participation and loyalty, while ensuring all efforts are aligned with the company’s Mission to bring excitement and enjoyment in an inclusive environment
Description of Duties:
Assists Marketing and Promotions Manager in the creative development and evaluation of promotional strategies and programs.
Coordinates promotional set up including giveaways and Player Development events as directed by Marketing and Promotions Manager.
Assists in the promotional and giveaway set up on Patron Management and google sheets (coupon codes, qualifying lists, etc.)
Assists with running promotions and giveaways and acts as a host/emcee as needed.
Updates weekly scripts for announcements and broadcasts to casino.
Interacts with casino guests and provides feedback to department.
Ensures guest information is updated and accurate at all times; verifies addresses, phone numbers, guest profiles and preferences.
Analyzes the marketing material and digital screens to assure all promotional collateral and marketing aspects are up to date and accurate.
Assists in communicating promotional information to the Players Club and makes sure the team understands how the promotions and giveaways functions as well as how they will execute and explain promotions and giveaways to patrons.
Ensure the Promotions & Giveaway Binder is up to date with the most current rules, procedures and scripts.
Has full understanding of facility’s features, amenities, and systems (Players Club, Event ticketing system, etc.).
Executes all aspects of Players Club – recruits and registers new members, explains Club benefits and rules, checks, and redeems points, validates promotional points, sells event tickets, assists guests with event ticketing inquiries, etc.
Stays updated on promotions, special events, etc. to be able to competently inform guests.
Driven personality that takes initiative and can work autonomously.
Collaborates with IT to ensure complete functionality of all equipment for promotions.
Safeguards the confidential nature of guest, department and company data; adheres to all policies and procedures set forth by the casino to minimize risk to the business and to guests.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Work Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-2 years of proven casino/entertainment/promotions experience preferred.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills required.
Must have keen attention to detail, organization and time management.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Must be flexible and able to work well independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license.
Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes lifetime FBI criminal background check.
Must pass drug testing as per company's Drug Free Workplace Policy and applicable background checks.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during promotions, events, and guest interactions.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of promotional materials, supplies, and equipment.
Frequent use of hands and arms for setup, data entry, and handling giveaway items.
Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, including assisting customers on a semi-enclosed, well-ventilated terrace where cigarette and cigar smoking is permitted.
Frequent movement, including bending, lifting, reaching, and climbing stairs as needed during event setup and breakdown.
