Full job description
Are you passionate about supporting First Nations-led cultural projects and strengthening community connections? We’re looking for a Project Administrator to help deliver a new multi-site Palawa-led arts project that centres Palawa voices and aims to contribute to broader goals of cultural continuity, visibility, and representation.

This is an identified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander position.

Key responsibilities
Support the City Culture Project Team and Cultural Advisors with scheduling, documentation and communications.
Keep project records and tracking tools up to date – timelines, tasks, milestones.
Coordinate logistics for artist Expressions of Interest, including handling enquiries and scheduling.
Provide admin support for contracts, invoicing, and supplier communications.
Assist in delivering clear and consistent messaging across council teams, galleries and community networks.
Support project evaluation and reporting by compiling data and community feedback.
About you
Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (with preference for a member of the Palawa community).
Experience in project administration or coordination, ideally in arts, cultural community, or Aboriginal-led organisations.
Great organiser – you can juggle tasks and timelines across multiple stakeholders.
Strong communicator – confident in writing emails, reports or briefing notes.
Able to engage respectfully and effectively with Palawa artists, Elders and community members.
What we offer you
Hourly rate between $41.89 and $46.36 (includes loading) will be offered dependent on skills and experience + superannuation
Casual role, with an initial commitment of approximately one day a week, with hours increasing around key project milestones and deadlines.
