The Department of Education is seeking a Project Manager to lead delivery of a technology platform to enable wide reaching reforms in the delivery of senior secondary education in Victorian government schools. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver technology products that deliver genuine value to school staff. This role works across technology, change management and program area teams to ensure delivery of a range of fit for purpose digital solutions. This is a fixed term position until 12 June 2026

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce (SSPRT) is delivering major reform to senior secondary students in all Victorian Government Schools. As part of this reform, the department is investing heavily in technology to support students and staff and reduce administrative burden in schools. SSPRT is committed to ensuring school and regional staff have both the tools and skills to deliver the reform.
About the Role
The Department of Education is seeking a Project Manager to lead delivery of a technology platform to enable wide reaching reforms in the delivery of senior secondary education in Victorian government schools. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver technology products that deliver genuine value to school staff. This role works across technology, change management and program area teams to ensure delivery of a range of fit for purpose digital solutions. With the program of work in its second year of delivery, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong people skills, a structured approach, and a commitment to ensuring delivery of high-quality digital solutions. Join a dynamic, reform-focused environment and help shape the future of senior secondary education in Victoria.
This is a fixed term position until 12 June 2026
Attributes
The role requires a breadth of skills, including end to end delivery management experience spanning business, change, technology, and operations and proven track record of delivering Salesforce-based transformation programs in complex public and private sector environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied across both business engagement and technology domains and demonstrated ability to establish and operate effective business decision-making frameworks and governance reporting structures. Experience in implementing and running Scaled Agile Frameworks, including backlog grooming and prioritisation, co-design team formation, and feature team delivery execution is desirable, as is skills in designing and managing end-to-end business support operating models and leading seamless operational transitions. This is a leadership role that supports and aligns multiple projects and streams across the program of work.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in technical/business support or change management
