Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Coffee Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash handling, and food safety while working in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
Manage food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using basic math skills
Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, dining area, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Assist with serving food items when required, ensuring timely delivery to customers
Manage time effectively to handle multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Experience in serving, food preparation, and cashiering is desirable but not mandatory
A friendly attitude with a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience
