We're now recruiting for a Yard Operative to join us at our Burton on Trent site on a permanent basis.

What's the mission?
The main duties of this role will be to load and off load vehicles safely and efficiently. From time to time, you will carry out other site yard functions including general housekeeping, ensuring company policy is adhered to and driving best practice. You will report to the Operations Team Manager and will ideally have an understanding of yard and despatch operations, coupled with product knowledge. A keen eye for detail and a willingness to be flexible around occasional overtime are essential.

Working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Your shift patterns will be 7am -4pm (Week 1) and 8am-5pm (Week 2)

What are the mission-critical skills?
• Minimum of 2 years FLT driving experience and a Forklift Truck Licence is essential for this role
• Experiencing of working in areas where Workplace transport health and safety is practiced
• Experience of operating in a small/medium manufacturing operation
• Team player with attention to detail
• Good level of English, oral and written
• IOSH qualification is desirable
• Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is advantageous
• Forward thinking individual continually looking at improving processes
