The Role
Fisher Paykel is an iconic New Zealand brand, a global company with a strong local heritage. Our origins inspire our culture of curiosity and passion to develop solutions designed around people - these are some of the core elements that make us unique.
We are driven by our values of being trusted, sustainably minded, innovative, generous, and curious. As a team, we take a collaborative approach and have a working environment where all ideas are heard, evaluated, and tested against our leading goal - to be the world's most human centered appliance brand.
The Opportunity…
You will join us in the role of Product Evaluator primarily supporting and conducting evaluation tests for our existing and new fabric care components and products. You will also be involved in researching, developing and testing new ways to evaluate our laundry products.
You’ll work within defined test procedures to accurately and systematically record, interpret, report and communicate test data, but you’ll also have suitable experience to help identify and develop new testing regimes for new product innovation. You’ll also play a key role in conducting essential laboratory maintenance and equipment calibration functions alongside our technicians. The role requires a scientific approach to your work, and the ability to effectively plan activities to meet the output requirements of Product Evaluation, and a proactive contribution to a small but high performing team. A good degree of practical hands-on skills is required as well as an understanding of the necessity for following a highly systemised approach.
Our ideal applicant…
You’ll likely be a qualified chemist with practical experience in new product development in FMCG. You should demonstrate a passion for product development and the analysis of product performance, including some knowledge of surfactant chemistry and be proficient in analysing and developing the interactions of these products with laundry appliances.
Your communication skills are exemplary, and you know how to engage and present your work in a meaningful way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. If you are a methodical person who would describe themselves as proactive and practical, have high attention to detail, and are a skilled, collaborative team player who takes personal accountability for your work, then we want to hear from you!
What we offer…
The opportunity to work in a collaborative team-based culture, a challenging and supportive work environment, career development, and an opportunity to work with leading technology.
Also on offer is a competitive salary, superannuation scheme / Kiwi Saver, and Life and Disability Insurance. Along with the above, we offer flexible working hours, an on-site cafeteria with subsidised meals and multiple corporate discounts with banks and retail stores.
If you would like to be part of our team developing the world's next generation of appliances and technology, then apply today! Applications close Sunday 17 August and we are interviewing now.
