Production Manager/Spring Maker

We are looking for someone to join our team and work alongside the Managing Director in the production and manufacture of all spring products as our new Production Manager / Spring Maker.

The ideal candidate will be hands on, self-motivated and a proactive team player. Someone that is keen to get stuck in and help improve current processes and bring fresh ideas.

Knowledge and Skills:
Management of production team
Management of factory layout
Production flow management
Stock and quality control
Setting of cam operated and CNC spring machines
Manufacture of tooling for spring machines
Break down and repair of spring machines
Pricing / quoting of springs for customers
Training and up-skilling of spring makers

7+ years minimum required of a high level of spring and tool making experience.

3+ years minimum required in the management of a team of 5 or more in a spring manufacturing environment.

Checking produced springs to specified requirements
Read and understanding component drawings.
Completing all documentation and quality process.
Loading and unloading raw material from production equipment.
Adhere to safety procedures.
Good housekeeping practices.
Assisting other team members.
