We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood to NCEA Level 3, including to young adult and adult learners. Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position:

The Project Manager, Ākonga Hauora is responsible for leading the planning, delivery, and successful implementation of assigned projects and initiatives that strengthen our long-term approach to ākonga wellbeing at Te Kura.

This role ensures projects are well-scoped, well-managed, and aligned with organisational priorities, delivering meaningful and measurable benefits for ākonga, whānau, and kaimahi. The focus being on projects and initiatives that result in consistent, sustainable, and effective practices that improve wellbeing outcomes for all ākonga.

The Project Manager, Ākonga Hauora will work collaboratively across Te Kura to strengthen system-wide capability, practice, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement in student wellbeing. Reporting to the National Lead, Ākonga Hauora, the role also contributes to the broader Ākonga Hauora Wāhanga.

You are an organised and proactive Project Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment. You have strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, and deadlines while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

Additionally, you bring:

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build trust across diverse groups.
Proven project management experience to successfully deliver projects within education, or public sector environments
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Proven experience in influencing and engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, establishing strong partnerships that support successful project delivery and organisational goals.
