Job Title: Product Specialist – FMCG (Health & Wellness)
Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate and results-oriented Product Specialist to join our FMCG team, specializing in health and wellness products. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the entire product lifecycle, driving innovation, and delivering consumer-focused solutions that align with the company’s commitment to promoting health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy & Development:
o Create and implement a product roadmap for health and wellness products in line with company objectives and market trends.
o Conduct market research, gather consumer insights, and analyze competitors to identify opportunities and gaps within the health and wellness FMCG market.
o Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new products or enhance existing ones.
2. Product Lifecycle Management:
o Oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization, ensuring products are launched on time and meet success criteria.
o Track product performance through sales data, customer feedback, and market analysis, implementing strategies for continuous product enhancement.
3. Brand Positioning & Marketing Support:
o Collaborate with the marketing team to define product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies that appeal to health-conscious consumers.
o Work with creative teams to develop packaging and marketing materials that effectively communicate the product’s value to the target audience.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Partner with R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to maintain product quality and consistency.
o Support sales teams by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to ensure effective product distribution and in-store execution.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure that all products comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, particularly concerning health and wellness claims.
6. Innovation & Market Trends:
o Stay informed on the latest trends and innovations in the health and wellness sector, proactively suggesting new product ideas.
o Utilize digital tools and analytics to stay ahead of changing consumer preferences.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Nutrition, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product management, ideally within the FMCG or health and wellness sectors.
• Proven success in launching and managing products in competitive markets.
• Strong understanding of consumer behaviour in the health and wellness industry.
Key Skills:
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similar.
• Creative mindset for product innovation and branding.
