About the role
As our Procurement Support Officer, you will:
Monitor, review and provide accurate and professional advice and support to NFAEP staff on end-to-end procurement activity implementation including procurement planning and documentation, evaluation and supplier negotiation, contract documentation, supply arrangements establishment and maintenance.
Liaise, negotiate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding NFAEP procurement processes, procedures, training and delegations.
Assist NFAEP staff with contract management including planning, contract administration, Accounts Payable and reporting.
Contribute to the identification and implementation of initiatives to improve procurement processes and activities including assisting with establishing and maintaining systems, tracking and reporting to support the team objectives.
Support complex procurement projects by undertaking administrative support functions as directed by the Senior Procurement Officer including reporting on progress and outcomes.
As a team member, contribute to team performance and engage staff to build procurement and contract management capability within Biosecurity Queensland.
Develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including Corporate Finance and Procurement and Procurement Services to facilitate effective procurement outcomes.

Mandatory qualifications
Possession of, or the ability to acquire possession of a Level 1 certification of the Queensland Procurement Framework
