is inviting applicants for:
Principal for Joussard School
2026-2026 School Year
Joussard School is located in the hamlet of Joussard in northern Alberta within Big Lakes County, located 2 kilometres north of Highway 2, approximately 338 kilometres north of Edmonton. The school, which is located in close proximity to the shoreline of picturesque Lesser Slave Lake, prides itself on being a close-knit elementary school serving students from ECS to Grade 6. In January, 2016 the old Joussard School was replaced by a new facility which offers an up-to-date learning centre in keeping with the school’s 1:1 technology program for the over 120 students.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate instructional leadership, administrative ability, and strong interpersonal skills
Committed to developing twenty-first century learners
Committed to collaborative decision-making
Experience and/or post-graduate program in Ed Admin or equivalent will be a definite asset
Requirements:
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Education Degree and have an Alberta Teaching Certificate or have proof of application from Alberta Education.
Successful candidates must produce an ORIGINAL, acceptable, recent (less than six months old) Criminal Record Check which must include Vulnerable Sector Check
TQS or proof of application from the Alberta Teachers’ Association.
