Join the friendly, vibrant team at our locally owned and operated family medical centre, which has been serving our local community for over 50 years.

Mount Medical Centre is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to lead their medium-sized practice team.

The role is for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some potential for flexibility.

Mount Medical Centre aims to provide a therapeutic encounter for everyone that walks in the door, striving for optimal health of patients and staff through excellent service.

We are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience working in a general practice environment, managing a team of GPs, nurses and administration staff.

This candidate must have strong people skills, operational leadership, financial planning, budgeting, and accounts management. You will be working in an environment that can be challenging and often changing within primary healthcare, PHOs, funding, capitation, enrolments, and the wide range of reporting that GP practice requires.

You’ll play an important role in fostering teamwork and supporting your colleagues to deliver excellent service. You will be able to work well with health and administration professionals.

Professional, resilient, reliable, and self-motivated.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Financial management, payroll and/or accounting skills.
Ability to manage human resources functions such as recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
Ability to delegate and direct others in a positive and sensitive way.
Working knowledge of Medtech Evolution ideally.
A grasp of Te Tiriti principles.
Knowledge of the Continuous Quality Improvement process.
