Role & responsibilities
• Pre-Production: Plan shoot concepts, write scripts, create storyboards, and outline shot lists.
• Site Scouting: Scout locations, assess natural lighting, and identify potential audio or logistical issues.
• Equipment Setup: Select, transport, set up, and test cameras, lenses, lighting rigs, and audio equipment.
• Filming: Capture high-quality video footage, ensuring proper framing, focus, exposure, and audio levels.
• Directing: Direct talent, actors, or interviewees on camera to capture authentic, impactful performances.
• Post-Production: Cut, sequence, and edit raw footage using software like Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Audio Editing: Synchronize multi-camera audio tracks, remove background noise, and mix sound effects or background music.
• Visual Enhancement: Apply color correction, color grading, motion graphics, transitions, and text overlays.
• Asset Management: Organize, back up, and archive raw and final media assets securely.
• Optimization: Export final video files in various formats and aspect ratios tailored for specific platforms (e.g., vertical for Instagram, widescreen for YouTube).
Preferred candidate profile
• Proven Portfolio: Showcases a strong demo reel demonstrating creative storytelling, framing, and editing skills.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient with professional cameras (Sony, Canon, RED), gimbals, drones, and lighting setups.
• Software Mastery: Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects.
• Short-Form Knowledge: Deep understanding of current social video trends, pacing, hook-writing, and platform algorithms.
• Adaptability: Able to work efficiently under tight deadlines across changing corporate, studio, or outdoor environments.
• Education: Degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
