As a Pharmacist in the OPD, you will be responsible for prescription screening, drug filling, and dispensing, along with medication counseling. You will also manage stock and ensure the safe handling of medications. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
• Prescription Screening: Accurately review and screen prescriptions for appropriateness.
• Drug Filling and Dispensing: Prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions.
• Medication Counseling: Provide comprehensive counseling to patients regarding their medications, including usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Stock Management: Manage the inventory of medications, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
• Patient Service: Serve patients by preparing medications and giving pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Monitoring Drug Therapies: Monitor patient drug therapies, making recommendations for improvements when necessary.
• Controlled Substances Management: Maintain records for controlled substances and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Inventory Control: Remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of all medications dispensed and maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
• Educational Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist.
• Licensing: Valid state pharmacist license (or must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in prescription screening and drug dispensing.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a patient-centric approach.
• Technology Skills: Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and tools.
