Performance Marketer
Job Description
As a Performance Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, analysing, and scaling WalletKart's paid marketing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other relevant performance channels.
This is a numbers-driven role. You will be expected to think beyond campaign execution and take ownership of revenue, CAC, ROAS, contribution margin, conversion rate, and overall marketing efficiency.
You will work closely with the Creative, E-commerce, Product, Analytics, and Management teams to continuously improve the performance marketing funnel.
Key Responsibilities1. Google Ads
Manage and scale Google Ads campaigns across:
Performance Max
Search Ads
Shopping
Demand Gen
Remarketing
Brand and Non-Brand campaigns
Build campaign structures based on products, categories, customer intent, and profitability.
Conduct regular keyword research and search-term analysis.
Optimise bids, budgets, audiences, products, feeds, and campaign targets.
Identify new opportunities for scaling profitable campaigns.
Monitor impression share, CPC, CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS and revenue.
Work with the team to improve Google Merchant Center/product-feed performance.
Develop strategies for seasonal campaigns such as Rakhi, Diwali, Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
2. Meta Ads
Plan, launch, manage and scale Meta campaigns across Facebook and Instagram.
Manage:
Prospecting campaigns
Retargeting campaigns
Catalog/DPA campaigns
Advantage+ Shopping campaigns
Creative testing campaigns
Develop audience and funnel strategies for new customer acquisition and remarketing.
Analyse creative-level performance and identify winning hooks, formats and angles.
Continuously test:
Creatives
Hooks
Copy
Offers
Audiences
Landing pages
Campaign structures
Control CAC and improve customer acquisition efficiency.
3. Performance & Revenue Ownership
Take ownership of paid marketing revenue and profitability.
Track and optimise:
ROAS
CAC/CPA
MER
AOV
CVR
CTR
CPC
CPM
New Customer CAC
Repeat Customer Revenue
Identify the reasons behind performance fluctuations and take corrective action.
Create daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.
Forecast sales and advertising spends.
Recommend budget allocation across Google, Meta and other channels.
4. Scaling
Identify campaigns/products that can be scaled profitably.
Develop a systematic testing → learning → scaling process.
Increase marketing spend while maintaining acceptable CAC/ROAS.
Identify new acquisition channels and opportunities.
Build strategies to increase new customer acquisition.
Work towards improving WalletKart's overall marketing efficiency as the business scales.
5. Creative Strategy
Performance marketing at WalletKart is highly dependent on creative testing.
You will work closely with the creative team to:
Identify winning creative concepts.
Analyse why certain ads are performing better than others.
Create creative briefs based on performance data.
Develop new ad angles, hooks and offers.
Recommend UGC, product videos, testimonials, static ads, carousels and reels.
Build a structured creative testing pipeline.
Track creative fatigue and refresh creatives proactively.
6. Analytics & Reporting
Analyse campaign performance using Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4 and Shopify data.
Build performance dashboards and reports.
Analyse customer acquisition and purchasing behaviour.
Track campaign performance by:
Product
Category
Geography
Audience
Creative
Device
New vs returning customer
Identify profitable and loss-making products/campaigns.
Conduct regular cohort and customer acquisition analysis.
7. CRO & Funnel Optimisation
Work with the e-commerce team to improve the entire customer journey:
Ad → Landing Page → Product Page → Add to Cart → Checkout → Purchase
Responsibilities include:
Identify conversion drop-offs.
Recommend landing-page improvements.
Improve product-page conversion rate.
Test offers, messaging, pricing and bundles.
Improve AOV through combos and cross-selling.
Analyse checkout and payment behaviour.
Work with the website team to implement CRO improvements.

RequirementsMust Have
2–5 years of hands-on performance marketing experience.
Strong experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads.
Experience working with a D2C/e-commerce brand.
Strong understanding of Shopify/e-commerce funnels.
Experience managing significant monthly advertising budgets.
Strong understanding of ROAS, CAC, CPA, CVR, AOV and LTV.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Google Analytics/GA4.
Ability to independently analyse campaign data and make decisions.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Preferred
Experience with personalised gifting, fashion, accessories or lifestyle brands.
Experience scaling a D2C brand.
Experience with Performance Max and Shopping campaigns.
Experience with Meta Catalog and Advantage+ Shopping campaigns.
Experience with Google Merchant Center.
Experience with server-side tracking/conversion APIs.
Experience with attribution and incrementality.
Experience managing seasonal/festival campaigns.
