About the Role

As the People Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality people reporting, maintaining and enhancing Council's HRIS and payroll-related systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across People and Culture.

You will develop workforce reports, dashboards and insights that support organisational decision-making, while ensuring the integrity, security and effectiveness of people systems. Working closely with leaders, employees, system vendors and key stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to improve reporting capability, streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.

The role also provides support for payroll-related activities, including payroll processing, system updates, reconciliations, reporting and legislative and regulatory requirements.

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will bring experience in workforce reporting, HRIS administration and data analysis, combined with a strong focus on accuracy, continuous improvement and customer service.

You will have demonstrated experience maintaining and improving HR or payroll systems, developing meaningful reports and dashboards, and using data to identify trends, risks and opportunities. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to translate complex workforce information into practical insights that support business decisions.

You will also possess:

Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
Experience administering medium to large HRIS and payroll-related systems.
Strong understanding of data integrity, reporting methodologies and workforce metrics.
Experience implementing process, system or reporting improvements.
Working knowledge of payroll processes, awards, enterprise agreements, taxation and superannuation requirements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Most importantly, you will be a collaborative team member who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
