Partner, Corporate / M&A — Edmonton

We are running a confidential partner search. The mandate is reviewed on a rolling basis with the client, and what follows is the current brief.

Experienced corporate/M&A partner role in a well-regarded Canadian practice, focused on growing a national corporate group from the Edmonton office. The hire will play a leadership role in originating and managing significant M&A and corporate mandates and in developing client relationships.

Primary focus is partner-level hires with an established book and market reputation; later priority openings include a partner hire in bankruptcy & insolvency. The team seeks candidates who are commercially minded, client-focused and able to contribute to business development and mentoring.
• Partner-level seniority with a strong market reputation and established client base
• Portable book of business of $1M+ (USD)
• Preferably 18+ years' call / equivalent senior experience
• Proven track record on M&A and corporate transactions; strong commercial judgment and ability to originate work
