Part Time Employee
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Part-time Employee to join our team permanently. Shifts are Thursdays 12:30pm-8:30pm (could also start at 4:30pm) and Saturdays +:30-5:30. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to gain experience in a dynamic environment while providing exceptional service to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting with sales, and receiving donations at our busy thrift store.
Duties
Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
Manage time efficiently to meet the demands of the role while balancing multiple tasks.
Physically be able to lift various boxes, furniture items with assistance (up to 50 pounds).
Experience
Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with technical sales or cashiering is a plus.
Strong communication skills; additional languages are beneficial.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a team-oriented setting is essential.
