Position: Paralegal/Law Clerk - Commercial Real Estate
Location: 25 Main St. WestHamilton, ON (Hybrid, in office 2-3 days per week)

About the Role
Markland Property Management is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal/Law Clerk to support leasing activities across a diverse commercial real estate portfolio, including retail, industrial, and office properties.
The Paralegal/Law Clerk will be responsible for drafting and managing lease documentation across our managed properties, and for owning the organization and ongoing administration of all lease files.
What You’ll Do
• Draft, review, and finalize new leases, renewals, amendments, and related documentation
• Organize and maintain all lease files (active and historical) across the portfolio
• Build and maintain lease abstracts, critical date tracking, and a renewal/option pipeline
• Coordinate with brokers, tenants, ownership, and external counsel on lease execution
• Support general leasing and property management administration as required
What We’re Looking For
• 3–5 years of paralegal experience, ideally in commercial real estate, leasing, or property management
• Paralegal License in good standing with the law society of Ontario (LSO P1) or law clerk diploma
• Strong commercial lease drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Highly organized, able to manage a multi-property workload independently
• Comfortable working directly with brokers, landlords, and tenants
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with Yardi or similar systems is an asset
What We Offer
• Competitive hourly rate: $35.90- $43.60 an hour ($70,000 – $85,000 per year; 37.5 hours per week)
