Operator Labourer (Class 4) – Selwyn
HEB Construction is seeking a reliable and motivated Operator Labourer (Class 4) to join our Selwyn Digout/Stabilisation Crew. Based in Selwyn, this role is key to delivering high-quality civil works across our roading and construction projects.
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working across both truck driving and general labouring duties on active civil sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operating Class 4 trucks to support digout and stabilisation works
Assisting with digout, subgrade preparation, and stabilisation activities
Carrying out general labouring duties including site clean-up and manual tasks
Supporting plant operators and crew to ensure efficient workflow
Working safely on active civil construction sites
Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with safety and transport requirements
Collaborating with Forepersons and Supervisors to deliver project outcomes
What We’re Looking For
Full NZ Class 4 licence (Class 5 advantageous)
Experience in civil construction environments, ideally digout or stabilisation work
Willingness to get off the truck and labour as part of the crew
Strong health & safety focus and situational awareness
Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude
Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
