Office Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a mature individual who thrives on being indispensable and making a difference by using your experience/knowledge to provide support in a counselling office.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors at the front desk, providing them with necessary information and assistance.
Schedule client appointments and manage the calendar for the counsellor, ensuring efficient time management, using the program "Jane".
Complete daily/weekly billing to Supplemental Health Care providers, WCB and Veteran's Affairs.
Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records.
Utilize Google Suite for document creation, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
Provide general administrative support as needed.
Skills
Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
Experience in a medical office environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in front desk operations and customer service principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Reliable transportation is essential due to the office's location near Yellowhead Trail and St. Albert Trail.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is highly flexible, with an anticipated commitment of 15 hours per week.
