Job Description
We are looking for an experienced NPD Engineer / Senior NPD Engineer to join our New Product Development (NPD) Engineering Department at our Jaipur location.
The candidate should have 7+ years of relevant experience in the Automotive Plastic Injection Molding Industry, with hands-on experience in new product development, automotive plastic component development, mould trials, process validation, and product transfer to mass production.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage complete New Product Development (NPD) activities from customer requirement to production launch.
• Develop and execute automotive plastic injection molded components as per customer specifications.
• Study customer drawings, specifications, and conduct product feasibility analysis.
• Coordinate with outside clients/customers to understand their requirements and develop new products accordingly.
• Coordinate with customers for technical discussions, approvals, and development updates.
• Manage tool/mould development, mould trials, modifications, and validation activities.
• Conduct injection molding trials and resolve process-related issues.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Design, Production, Quality, PPC, and Purchase departments.
• Prepare and maintain APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and other NPD documents.
• Support process optimization, rejection reduction, cost improvement, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure smooth transfer of new products from NPD stage to regular production.
Required Experience & Skills
• 7+ years of relevant experience in the Automotive Plastic Injection Molding Industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in automotive plastic component development and NPD.
• Experience in mould/tool development, mould trials, modifications, and process validation.
• Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and related quality/NPD documentation.
• Strong ability to coordinate with external customers/clients and develop products according to their requirements.
• Good understanding of injection molding processes and troubleshooting.
• Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage projects from customer requirement through product development to mass production.
• Experience in the automotive industry/plastic component manufacturing will be preferred.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
