Motor Mechanic – Full-Time
Location: Taperoo, South Australia
Salary: $78,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation
Are you a qualified Motor Mechanic looking for a stable, long-term opportunity? We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our busy workshop in Taperoo, South Australia. About the Role
As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best. You’ll bring strong technical knowledge, pride in your workmanship, and a commitment to delivering quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across a wide range of vehicles
Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and roadworthiness checks
Repair and replace components such as brakes, transmissions, steering, suspension, and engines
Tune engines, adjust systems, and ensure compliance with emission and safety standards
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Communicate clearly with customers on required work, costs, and timelines
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain workshop equipment
What We’re Looking For
Certificate III in Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent recognised qualification)
Completion of apprenticeship followed by a minimum of 3-5 years practical hands-on experience in motor mechanics
Current driver’s licence
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic equipment
Have a clear understanding of maintaining a full range of ICE including Diesel engines in mid sized vehicles at commercial level.
Knowledge of EVs and practical expertise in diagnostics and repairs of same.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
