Job Function

The role of the MS Access Developer entails the creation and upkeep of databases, as well as the design of user interfaces. This position necessitates strong analytical capabilities and a firm grasp of SQL and software development methodologies to accomplish vital business goals.

Work Schedule:

Full Time, Monday to Saturday, 10:00a.m. to 7:00pm. Hours may vary on occasion, depending on workload. Second and Fourth Saturday Holiday.

Pay

Fixed Pay Starts at Rs. 25,000 per month, along with additional variable pay and performance bonuses based on achievements and targets met.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Req. Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Req. Experience:

3+ years of experience designing and maintaining MS Access databases.
• Proficiency in SQL, VBA, and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience in database design, queries development, and report generation
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience in software development methodologies and practices is a plus.

Req. Knowledge and Skills:

· Developers and Engineers should possess a deep understanding of MS Access, including its components and their functionalities. They should be proficient in swiftly managing and analyzing data using MS Access tools. A fundamental knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMS) is essential for those seeking positions as MS Access Developers. Companies seek a specific skill set in Access developers, which can be summarized as follows:

· Demonstrated expertise in advanced MS Access.

· Proficiency in forms, queries, modules, macros, VBA, .NET, and Visual Studio.

· Strong knowledge in query writing and database table/schema design.

· Experience in report writing using Access, SSRS, or other reporting tools.

· Proven experience with SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, web databases, or other database systems.

· Extensive knowledge of web development.

· Some experience in business development tools such as ETL, data warehousing, cube building, OLAP, dashboards, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Database Design and Development:

Design, create, and maintain MS Access databases, including data modeling, table design, and schema development. Expert knowledge about web development.

User Interface Design:

Develop user-friendly interfaces to interact with the database, including forms and reports.

Data Management:

Efficiently manage and manipulate data within the MS Access database, including data entry, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

Query Development:

Write complex queries to extract and manipulate data as per business requirements.

VBA (Visual Basic for Applications):

Develop and maintain VBA scripts for automation and customization of Access applications.

Integration:

Integrate MS Access databases with other systems or databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, SharePoint, or web databases.

Reporting:

Create and maintain reports using MS Access or other reporting tools like SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).

Web Development:

Have expertise in web development for creating web-based applications or interfaces that connect to MS Access databases.

Business Development Tools: Utilize tools like ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data warehousing, cube building, OLAP (Online Analytical Processing), and dashboards for business intelligence and analytics.

Teamwork:

Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and end-users, taking ownership of projects and tasks.

Communication:

Communicate and present information effectively, especially when explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving:

Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in database and application development.

Organization and Management: Efficiently organize work, manage projects, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and business goals.
