Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Workflow: Facilitate exploration workflows across global teams to align site-based work with corporate goals.
Technical Oversight: Ensure high-standard data collection and maintain complex geological models for gold deposits.
Target Generation: Lead initiatives to expand Mineral Resources and find new greenfield opportunities.
Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance across all geoscience disciplines and mentor junior geoscientists.
Special Projects: Oversee orientation studies and innovative research to keep the company at the cutting edge.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, Alamos Gold is looking for a blend of high-level academic training and "boots-on-the-ground" experience:
Education: Post-graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Geoscience.
Certification: Must be a registered Professional Geologist (P.Geo).
Experience: * Proven track record leading projects from greenfields through to advanced stages.
Significant experience in gold exploration (production or exploration settings).
Expertise in 3D modeling and GIS (specifically Leapfrog, Micromine, and ArcGIS).
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical results for corporate leadership and diverse site teams.
