Title and Authority
: Production Assembler
: This role reports directly to the Production Manager. This role has no supervisory authority.
General Description of the Role
The Production Assembler role is responsible for the manufacturing of a variety of wire and fiber brushes for the industrial and oil and gas applications.
Safety of both you the individual, and your co-workers is at the forefront of Fiberbuilt’s success. You are required to follow all safety procedures and policies implemented. Safety is not just the individual’s responsibility; everyone is expected to be a leader when it comes to implementing and adhering to policies.
Role Accountabilities
· Manufacture wire and fiber brushes.
· Work closely with the production team to gain a strong understanding of Fiberbuilt’s equipment and manufacturing process.
· Complete assembly tasks using manual dexterity, hand tools, jigs and fixtures.
· Positively contribute to the overall team environment.
Specific Tasks
· Operate a variety of specialty semi-automatic machinery to produce our products:
o Benko Matic – Strip Brushes
o Swagers – Pipeline
o Unimac – Pipeline
o Wire Cutters - Pipeline
· Monitor equipment while in the process to ensure proper functions, load/unload materials as required.
· Maintain accuracy and precision in all areas of work.
· Ensure jobs are completed on time by working at an efficient and methodical pace.
· Complete paperwork such as work orders and timesheets.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company health standards.
· Other tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
· Knowledgeable about the materials, tools, labour, etc., involved in completing projects.
· Someone who is capable of accurate mathematics involved in measurements, etc.
· Mechanically inclined.
· Someone with good communication skills, both written and oral.
· Someone with general manufacturing knowledge.
· Someone with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Someone with manual dexterity skills and hand-eye coordination.
· Experience operating production equipment and working in assembly.
· Knowledge of brush fabrication.
· Safety Training.
· Knowledge of OHS.
· Someone with attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
· Someone with a flexibility to work on a variety of tasks.
· This position is required 100% onsite.
