We are a boutique law firm in Downtown Oakland looking for an experienced Litigation Assistant/Paralegal who can thrive in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing correspondence, pleadings, etc., state/federal court e-filings (and other tasks as needed), and assisting attorneys with all stages of litigation. Trial experience a plus.
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree preferred
• Paralegal Certificate from ABA
• Must have 4+ years minimum of litigation experience
• Solid understanding of court rules, procedures and calendaring
• Proficient in Relativity, DISCO, and other eDiscovery software
• Experienced with Federal and California e-filing procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• NetDocuments and Bill4Time knowledge a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work well under pressure, self-reliant, and can prioritize workload
• Proactive, problem solver and resourceful
• Must be organized, detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
Position is full time (40 hours a week), M-F, with occasional overtime. This role is fully in the office. We offer excellent benefits.
