Based at Visy’s Spotswood Glass Manufacturing site and reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Line Manager is responsible for the performance of an allocated production line operating in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You'll act as the operational leader for your line, driving safety, quality, productivity and cost performance while working closely with technical specialists, maintenance and production teams to achieve operational excellence. This is a Monday to Friday role (typically 7am to 4pm) with an on-call requirement to support the operation when required.

What you'll do:

Lead the overall performance of a 24/7 glass container production line, delivering safety, quality, productivity and cost targets
Analyse production and quality data to identify trends, solve problems and improve operational outcomes
Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives that deliver measurable results
Partner with Forming Specialists, maintenance and quality teams to optimise glass forming performance, maximise efficiencies and minimise defects
Influence and engage shift teams to achieve performance targets and operational standards
Foster a strong safety culture within a high-risk manufacturing environment
What You Will Bring:

5+ years’ experience in glass container manufacturing, with strong knowledge of glass forming processes
Technical expertise gained through engineering qualifications and/or significant manufacturing experience, with a demonstrated ability to improve manufacturing performance. Bachelor’s degree (Production, Engineering, or related discipline) is preferred.
Proven production, manufacturing or operations management experience within a 24/7 industrial environment
Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret production and quality data to make sound operational decisions
Demonstrated success delivering continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple teams
Excellent software skills, including MS Office and other analytical tools
