Life Science Property Management Leader
Job Description
As a Property Management Leader at CBRE, you'll play a vital role in overseeing the operational and financial activities of a property or small portfolio of properties. This position is ideal for individuals looking to make an impact in the property management field within the life sciences sector.
What You'll Do:
• Supervise and develop employees, conducting performance evaluations and coaching sessions, while overseeing recruitment and hiring.
• Manage the daily operations of a portfolio of Industrial and Office properties to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare and review annual operating expense reconciliations with the use of Yardi, Excel, and Kardin software.
• Coordinate daily team activities, set work schedules, assign tasks, and provide cross-training opportunities.
• Address escalated tenant needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Act as the primary point of contact for property owners, ensuring alignment with their objectives and delivering accurate reports.
• Develop and control budgets for operating and capital expenses, while forecasting management plans and preparing performance reports.
• Create programs to assist in emergency recoveries for the property.
• Prepare legal notices and ensure timely rent and common area maintenance recovery charges are collected.
• Lead by example, promoting behaviors that align with CBRE RISE values and fostering cooperative engagement among stakeholders.
• Utilize your knowledge to integrate departmental objectives and resolve issues as they arise.
What You'll Need:
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred) with 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial property management; a combination of education and experience can be considered.
• Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, and Kardin software is highly desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and complex information effectively.
• Leadership capabilities to inspire team performance, quality, and departmental efficiency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional organizational skills paired with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
