We are looking for a Plumber Apprentice with a background in construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction-related tasks and be eager to learn and grow in the plumbing trade.
Responsibilities:
Assist in plumbing rough-ins and installations, including vanities, toilets, showers, and sinks.
Support licensed plumbers with pipe fitting, drainage systems, and fixture installations.
Work with waterproofing materials such as Schluter, cement board, and liners for bathrooms.
Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing schematics, and technical specifications.
Help with kitchen and laundry installations, including water and drainage connections.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Lay tiles and flooring as part of plumbing-related renovations.
Maintain a clean and safe worksite, following all safety guidelines.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
Construction experience, including stud framing, drywall installation, and ceiling work.
Proficiency in mudding, taping, finishing, and painting.
Ability to install bathrooms, walk-in showers, kitchens, and laundry areas.
Basic electrical knowledge, including running wires, installing pot lights, and moving switches.
Experience with flooring installation (tiling, hardwood, vinyl).
Carpentry skills (sanding and staining staircases).
Must have own tools.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or plumbing is an asset.
Willingness to learn and develop skills in the plumbing trade.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
Richmond Hill, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
