About The Role

This is a technical role that bridges legal and contract expertise with AI/ML implementation. You will work closely with our Product Managers, Engineering, and Data Science teams to realize our innovative vision to deliver best-in-class AI at scale, to transform how major companies optimize and streamline key business processes related to negotiating and handling their contracts, including:
• Collaborating with with our Product Managers in defining contract use cases for specific verticals, end-users, and industries
• Collaborating with the Data Science team on data curation and strategy in support of LLM evaluation, testing, and development
• Developing practices and data sets for use in refining and ensuring high quality performance of AI
• Developing your understanding of generative AI, data science and product development
• Supporting every facet of the AI model building and testing flow from problem definition, data collection and analysis, to involvement with prompt engineering and setting high standards for what “great” means for each model

Applying your expertise, your role will be instrumental in advancing our initiatives and delivering outstanding value to business professionals world-wide.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced environment. They are not intimidated by legal contracts or legal languages, are comfortable getting up to speed on any subject matter, and believe in their ability to learn any use case to then build solutions together with our Product and Data Science teams.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for crafting and maintaining a dataset of contract records and legal models.
• Point of escalation for the Data Science team; assist with unclear instructions/terms, help drive resolution.
• Partner with Product Management to resolve issues, clarify process flows, and find opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
• Brainstorm automation use cases and process improvements.
• Become the subject matter expert in various areas of contracts and contract clauses based on customer needs.
• Update procedural documentation.
• Special projects as assigned.

About You

Basic Qualifications:
• 4+ years background in corporate law, finance, consulting or data science, specifically with experience reviewing and analyzing contracts across a variety of business contexts.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, etc.), including prompt engineering and evaluation methodologies.
• Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is a plus, but not required.

Other Qualifications:
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze legal data and understand data at scale.
• Detail oriented, meticulous and strong organizational skills. The candidate must be able to identify minor discrepancies and errors within large volumes of information.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, take ownership of issues, research, follow through, and resolve issues.
• Ability to shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate.
• Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools is required, allowing for the interpretation and manipulation of complex datasets to inform decision-making processes.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable working collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of the company.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
