Job Description
Designation - Lead Python Developer
Experience - 7+ years
Location - Ahmedabad Office
Opportunity - Work Full time
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Python developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high-quality engineering.
- Own the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable Python-based applications and APIs.
- Guide the team in applying best practices in software development, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and DevOps.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and QA to ensure delivery of robust solutions aligned with business goals.
- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas, queries, and migrations.
- Oversee and contribute to the development of asynchronous systems using tools such as RabbitMQ.
- Ensure secure and high-performance API design, including token-based authentication and caching strategies.
- Stay up to date with advancements in AI, especially LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI,Anthropic etc), and explore integration opportunities when applicable.
Technical Skills & Requirements:
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python and web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Expertise in designing RESTful APIs with performance, scalability, and security in mind
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, including Shell scripting
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Proficient in using Git, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows
- Experience in frontend-backend integrations and knowledge of JavaScript
Good to Have:
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, especially Large Language Model APIs (OpenAI, HuggingFace, etc.)
- Exposure to DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD tools
- Experience with message queues, event-driven systems, and job schedulers
