Nestled within the leafy grounds of Monash Health’s Kingston Centre in Heatherton, Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre offers a state-of-the-art, purpose-built residential facility dedicated to comfort, dignity, and excellence in Aged Care. With 150 beds across four thoughtfully designed floors, our modern infrastructure supports a warm, home-like environment, tailored to meet the unique needs of every resident!


About the Role:
Join our team as a Laundry Assistant on a part time ongoing basis in this exciting opportunity to work at the new Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre!

As part of the Support Services team and reporting to the General Services Manager, Laundry Assistants are responsible for sorting soiled and clean laundry, operating industrial laundry equipment, delivering and restocking clean items across the site. Rotating through various areas, they assist with washing, drying, folding, and machinery cleaning, while maintaining safe work practices at all times. Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Cleaning within the laundry
Operation of commercial washing machines and dryers
Stock management of mops and cloths for wards and department usage.
Packing of mops and cloths
Collection of soiled mops and clothes from various areas within the hospital
We currently some exciting opportunities available to work Monday to Sunday in the following shifts:

8:00 am – 3:30 pm
9:30 am – 5:00 pm



About You:
To ensure your success in this role, you will bring experience in environmental services within an Aged Care, hospital or commercial cleaning setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills. Whether you work independently or as part of a team; you always follow manual handling, safety protocols, and procedural instructions.
