Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Microbiologist role based in Kalyan. The Junior Microbiologist will perform routine microbiological testing, including sample preparation, culture, incubation, and enumeration under standardized laboratory protocols. The role involves maintaining and operating laboratory equipment, preparing media and reagents, and recording data accurately in laboratory notebooks and digital systems. The team member will support quality control and quality assurance activities by performing environmental monitoring, sterility checks, and product testing as per established standards. The role also includes assisting senior scientists in method validation, documentation, troubleshooting test deviations, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Microbiology, including aseptic techniques, microbial culture handling, and basic identification methods.
• Laboratory Skills and hands-on experience with routine microbiological procedures, sample processing, and media preparation.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Equipment such as incubators, autoclaves, laminar flow hoods, and microscopes, with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks.
• Understanding of Quality Control practices related to microbiological testing, product evaluation, and environmental monitoring.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, including documentation, SOP adherence, and compliance with relevant laboratory and safety standards.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline.
• Attention to detail, strong record-keeping skills, and the ability to follow written procedures accurately.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a laboratory team, with good communication and time-management skills.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry, report preparation, and use of laboratory information systems.
• Prior internship or project work in a microbiology or QC laboratory is an advantage but not mandat
