The IPD Billing Executive is responsible for handling inpatient billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, and coordinating financial transactions related to hospital admissions. This role involves preparing bills, verifying insurance details, addressing patient inquiries, and collaborating with various departments for smooth billing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing & Invoice Processing:
Generate and process inpatient bills with accuracy and efficiency.
Verify patient details, treatment charges, and consultant fees.
Ensure timely submission of final bills at the time of discharge.
Handle advance payments, refunds, and outstanding dues management.
Insurance & TPA Coordination:
Coordinate with insurance companies and Third-Party Administrators (TPA) for claim processing.
Verify pre-authorizations and insurance approvals for cashless treatments.
Ensure correct documentation and compliance with insurance policies.
Patient & Family Assistance:
Explain billing details, payment options, and financial policies to patients.
Address patient concerns regarding billing discrepancies and clarifications.
Maintain transparency and ensure ethical billing practices.
Team Collaboration & Compliance:
Work closely with the front office, finance, and medical teams for seamless billing operations.
Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies and government regulations.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated on billing software and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Diploma or certification in Medical Billing or Hospital Administration is a plus.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in hospital billing, finance, or medical accounting.
Proficiency in hospital management software and billing systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle billing discrepancies.
