Job Description

As an Interior Designer / Junior Architect at our company in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative and functional spaces that meet our clients" vision and project requirements. You will collaborate with senior designers to refine design ideas, produce design sketches and layouts, and present them to clients. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the preparation of architectural and interior design drawings, using software tools for 2D & 3D design work, researching materials and products, interacting with clients, and coordinating with the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in creating interior design concepts aligned with clients" vision and project requirements.
- Collaborate with senior designers to refine design ideas and provide creative input.
- Produce preliminary design sketches, mood boards, and layouts for client presentations.
- Prepare architectural and interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
- Use software tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit for design development.
- Research and recommend materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting that align with design objectives.
- Support sourcing of materials and products meeting aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Prepare presentations for client meetings and participate in discussions to understand project goals.
- Work closely with architects, interior designers, and other professionals for design integration.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for on-site design implementation.
- Assist in site visits, gather project information, and track project timelines and material orders.
- Stay updated on interior design and architecture trends, attend workshops to improve skills.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Experience: Freshers or up to 1 year of experience in interior design or architecture.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, basic understanding of design principles, and familiarity with building codes.
