About the Role
Covert Special Investigations is expanding its team of skilled investigators. This is an exciting role ideal for individuals experienced in insurance claims investigations, particularly those relating to auto losses, workers' compensation, and AOE/COE matters. We are looking for part-time investigators with the potential for full-time opportunities based on performance.
This position does not involve surveillance but focuses on in-depth investigations and analysis.
What You'll Do:
• Investigate complex auto claims including theft, fire, vandalism, staged accidents, jump-ins, and questionable losses.
• Handle workers' compensation investigations, including AOE/COE determinations and site inspections.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop tailored investigative strategies.
• Collect and analyze evidence, including police reports, witness interviews, and court filings.
• Write clear and comprehensive investigative reports within set timelines.
• Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams to maintain case progress.
• Follow new leads and adapt case strategies as needed.
• Travel within the specified Metro area and surrounding locations as required.
What We're Looking For:
• 1-2+ years of experience in claims, investigations, or SIU (required).
• Experience with Workers' Compensation, AOE/COE, or root cause analysis (preferred).
• Bilingual in Spanish (required).
• Background in Auto Physical Damage, Fire & Theft, or Field Investigations (a plus).
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities.
• A collaborative team player with problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech-savvy: proficient in using laptops, smartphones, apps, and digital documentation tools.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
Requirements:
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Reliable, insured personal vehicle.
• Pass a criminal background check and qualify for TX DPS Private Investigator Registration.
• Access to investigative tools (e.g., camera, laptop, voice recorder) is beneficial but not required.
