The role
Full Time, Fixed Term (up to 1 December 2026)
Level 4 - $73,230 to $79,494 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
Bathurst
As an Information Technology Support Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality IT support to staff and students across Charles Sturt University. Working within the Service Desk, you'll be the first point of contact for a wide range of technology enquiries, providing timely troubleshooting, resolving technical issues where possible, and escalating more complex matters to specialist teams.
This is a varied, customer-focused role where no two days are the same. You'll support a broad range of IT services, contribute to the continuous improvement of Service Desk processes, and provide both remote and on-site support, including assisting with teaching and learning technologies. Working closely with colleagues across the University, you'll help create a positive technology experience while contributing to an innovative and collaborative IT environment.
This is an entry‑level role into Information Technology and would suit a recent school leaver with a strong interest in IT, someone who has completed a VET qualification, or an individual seeking to build on foundational IT knowledge and develop a career in the field.
About you
Demonstrated experience delivering outstanding customer service.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot IT issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Well organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Confident using Microsoft Office and eager to learn new technologies and systems.
