Ice Bar Host | Minus 5° ICE BAR

Queenstown, Otago
Event Management
#801289
Remote / WFH
Future Hospitality Group

Job Description

Working in an Ice Bar isn’t your average hospitality job.

One minute you’ll be helping guests into warm jackets and gloves, the next you’ll be serving drinks in glasses made of ice while surrounded by incredible ice sculptures. Every shift is different, and every day you’ll meet people from all over the world who are visiting Queenstown to experience something completely unique.

We’re part of Future Hospitality Group, a locally owned business with six unique venues and one shared goal: to keep raising the standard of hospitality in Queenstown.

We’re looking for an Ice Bar Host to join our team. If you enjoy meeting new people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love creating memorable experiences, we’d love to hear from you. Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a bonus, but if you’ve got the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

What you’ll be doing

Welcoming guests and making them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Helping guests gear up with jackets, gloves and everything they need for the experience.
Serving drinks in our famous ice glasses.
Sharing the story of the Ice Bar and making every visit fun and memorable.
Taking photos, chatting with guests and creating an experience they’ll talk about long after they’ve left Queenstown.
Keeping the venue clean, organised and presentation-ready.
Working closely with your team to deliver safe, smooth and enjoyable experiences every day.

About You

You enjoy working with people and love creating great experiences.

You’ll also have:

A positive attitude and plenty of energy.
Great communication skills and confidence talking with people from all over the world.
The ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods.
A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
Previous hospitality, tourism or customer service experience is preferred, but not essential.
Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Why work with us

50% off food and drinks across all six Future Hospitality Group venues, plus exclusive discounts at selected partner venues around Queenstown.
Monthly opportunities to bring your mates along with exclusive staff discounts.
Free hospitality training and development to help grow your skills and career.
Genuine opportunities to progress across Future Hospitality Group.
Discounted gym and Pilates memberships, wellbeing initiatives, retail discounts and financial wellbeing support.
The chance to work in one of Queenstown’s most unique attractions alongside a supportive team that genuinely enjoys what they do.

If you’re looking for a role that’s a little different, where no two days are the same and you get to meet people from all over the world, we’d love to hear from you.
