Your Opportunity
As the Human Resources Officer, you will:
Provide efficient administration and recruitment support to the Human Resources team as well as ensuring all recruitment and payroll deadlines and requirements are met.
This position reports to the Manager, Human Resources.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity, unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general administration duties including processing a wide range of payroll and establishment documentation, completion of forms, maintain local registers and databases and ensure payroll processing deadlines and other processing requirements are met.
Produce and summarise PowerBI reports for management and the Human Resource Business Partners.
Assist the human resources team to ensure efficient and professional operations of statewide HR activity and communication.
Assist HR Business Partner's with the administration of statewide recruitment and selection processes and onboarding of new employees and ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
Provide a high standard of administrative support including word processing, data validation and input, basic correspondence and related documentation, records maintenance, and filing.
Respond and provide general guidance and assistance (where appropriate) to managers and staff in relation to recruitment, establishment management, systems, practice, and procedures.
Ensure all Payroll documentation is appropriately approved and validated, ensuring payroll processing deadlines and other processing requirements are met.
Maintain the data integrity of a range of employee records, registers and information systems needed to ensure accurate data for reporting purposes at a corporate and state level.
Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices by encouraging an environment where professional and high-quality work is achieved and is supported by the development and adherence to quality systems.

How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
Demonstrate ability in undertaking duties of an administrative nature including working within guidelines to provide a high-quality service to customers, stakeholders, other staff, and suppliers.
Exercise proficiency in the utilisation of desktop applications and core business systems relevant to administration, payroll, establishment, and reporting.
Demonstrate ability to prioritise and complete tasks and activities to achieve successful outcomes within strict deadlines.
Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including written communication and client liaison skills.
Display the initiative, positive attitude, and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
