YOUR NEW ROLE


The People and Development Team partner provide advice and support on operational and strategic HR services to a range of stakeholders across the Opera House This position is responsible for providing expert and professional advice to portfolio clients, using effective partnering skills with key stakeholders and the utilisation of extensive workforce knowledge to achieve business outcomes. The role supports the design, development and implementation of proactive strategies, policies and programs that deliver high quality, professional, effective and ethical people management practices to support the achievement of business objectives and overall SOH strategic goals.

ARE YOU THE ONE?


Key Responsibilities/skills:


Minimum 5 years’ generalist Human Resources experience at a Business Partner level with experience in the following areas :- industrial relations; performance management; HR systems, processes and policies; organisation design; job design and evaluation; advocacy on people management issues; recruitment and selection; grievance handling, discipline and people issues; HR aspects of injury management and rehabilitation.
Sound decision-making capability weighing up multiple competing internal and external factors to ensure organisation risk is minimised and regulatory compliance achieved.

Experience in managing the development and implementation of a range of human resource initiatives designed to improve organisational effectiveness.
Ability to build effective business partnering relationships, including an ability to analyse, evaluate and develop options and solutions.
Experience in managing high-volume HR case-management including performance management, grievances and other people issues.
Well-developed interpersonal, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, coaching, networking and relationship management skills
A valid WWCC clearance.
