We are currently looking for a full-time Houseperson to join our team.
Responsibilities as a Houseperson:
Supporting Room Attendants by restocking supplies such as linens, glasses, and amenities.
Answering guest calls via a radio and delivering the requested amenity.
Assisting in cleaning and maintaining the hotel daily in an efficient and timely manner.
Upholding the highest standards for cleanliness of guest-rooms and public areas, including service elevators, laundry, storage rooms, hallways, and stairwells.
Maintaining the lobby and dining areas.
Assisting Room Attendant by stripping any vacant or dirty rooms when necessary.
Moving furniture and moving garbage and waste.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations and standards, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Participates in the daily standup meetings.
Demonstrating appropriate Marriott service behaviours.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven ability to juggle many tasks, simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
An eye for detail and dedication to ‘doing things right the first time’.
Ability to be self-directed and work cooperatively within a team setting with minimum supervision.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e., lifting up to 50-lbs, moving 75lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching).
Must be able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
